In order to upload an image, tune or video content, please follow these steps:
Click on the "Upload" button, found on the right side of the navigation bar.
Click on "browse" to select the file to upload. Find the file you want from your desktop, select it and click "open". Write a description, select the appropriate category and subcategory, insert some correct tag and choose whether to make it private or public and whether or not you want to notify your friends by email. Then click "Upload". It could take a few minutes to complete the uploading, depending on the size of the file and the speed of your internet connection.
Send: Once your files are uploaded, they are ready to be customized and sent to your cell phone and to the cell phones of your friends!
Click on the "Upload" button and select applications, games or themes. Choose public if you want to share your file with the Mobango Community and click on “Continue”. (Note: your account must be upgraded to Developer. If you haven't done it already, you will be redirected to the Developer Activation Form.)
Enter the title of your Item, choose a category, add one or more tags and then click on “Browse” to choose your file. You can also set the version number of your item.
Click now on “SET COMPATIBILITY” in order to define which phones are supported by the file. Optionally you can add further versions of your item and set the related compatible phones. Once uploaded, the Mobango website will automatically choose the correct file for the user’s phone. Please also note that your item will be displayed only if compatible with the user’s handset. Afterwards click on “UPLOAD FILE(S)”.
Enter a short description, screenshots (up to 4) and a thumbnail. You can also add a long description with HTML code inside, either by using the on page html editor or pasting it from an existing web page (please use ctrl-v to paste it in the editor). Finalize the upload process by clicking on “Publish”. Your software is now online and visible for all Mobango users.
You will be redirected to your “MyItems” page, from where you can edit your items, unpublish or remove them, updating the phones compatibility or add new versions.
Sure you can. After selecting applications, games or themes as your upload area, choose “Private”. (see images/tunes/videos upload section for details on public software uploads)
Upgrading your account to Developer status is required in order for you to access all the advanced features which allow you to use Mobango as a publishing and distribution platform for your mobile games, applications and themes. The upgrade is absolutely free of charge.
Login with your Mobango account. In themes, applications or games area pages, click on “DEVELOPERS AREA” button. Then click on “Upgrade”. You will be asked to fill an Activation Form. All the information you will enter here will be only applied to identify your game, application and theme uploads and will NOT change your Mobango account information. In the Developers Application Form, you can choose to keep your nickname, country and email address or to change them, and you are required to enter your first and last name, your address, your phone number and a short presentation of yourself (or of your company). You may also add your company name and a detailed html presentation of yourself or of your company which you can edit with html editor or paste from an existing web page.
Only your nickname, the short presentation and, eventually, the company name will be published. Though, you can also choose to publish your address, your phone number and/or your email address if you need for communication purposes.
Usually you may upload any kind of file, but please verify, when sending to a cell phone, the compatibility of the files with the receiving cell phone. The file size accepted by MOBANGO depends on the type of the file. Bmp, png, wbmp, tiff, jpeg and gif image files are accepted up to 6 MB. For 3gp, wmv, mpg, mpeg, avi and mp4 video files are accepted up to 10 MB. For sis and jar files, the maximum accepted size is 1 MB for private uploads (see apps/games/themes upload section for details on public software uploads), while for all other type of files the maximum size accepted is 0,5 MB. Do not upload in public areas files protected by copyright or other intellectual property laws, or for which you do not have sufficient rights.
Mobango WEB site provides a complete Cell phone Compatibility Database. In order to verify the type of files supported by your cell phone, please check the compatibility at the URL:
http://www.mobango.com/cell_phones . The compatibility is based on the extension of the files. In the same category there are files with different extensions, supported by different cell phones.
There are plenty of files, uploaded by other Mobango Members that are compatible with your Cell phone.
Tags are keywords used to describe your file so it can be easily found by other users. You may also have the right to add tags to Community files. You must insert tags separated by spaces . They're extremely important for your files because they improve their "visibility", so don't forget to use correct tags!
